Mathematical modelling of grounding systems under impact of pulse currents

Different approaches to the creation of mathematical models (MM) of grounding systems (GS) under impact of pulse currents have been examined and compared in this paper. Basic requirements to these approaches have been formulated in terms of their application perceptiveness for creating the system of GS properties diagnostics and modelling. A new approach proposed by authors has been presented so as to build a mathematical model of GS, the best one with respect to proposed criteria.
