Application of the successive concessions method for optimizing the topology of information control systems with multiple-bus architecture

The paper proposes an approach to multicriteria optimization of distributed information control systems with multiple-bus architecture based on the method of successive concessions. The main criterion is “network reliability”, the secondary one is the total length of connections. The paper proposes a method to distribute net nodes across buses to complete the first stage of optimization. To solve the problem with respect to the secondary criteria the paper proposes an approach based on a solution of the balanced problem of distance matrix assignment. The paper next shows how to build oriented graph of nodes compatibility in the form of a regular tree. Each node of the tree corresponds to single node distribution across buses such that this distribution does not change the resulted from the first stage. It's shown that to optimize the second criteria a root-to-leaf path with optimal “weight” must be found in the graph.
