State feedback control against sensor faults for uncertain T-S fuzzy system: Descriptor approach

This work deals with fault estimation and robust state feedback control design for T-S fuzzy uncertain systems against sensor failures and subject to external disturbance with unmeasurable premise variables. The simultaneous estimation of faulty signal and system states is based on the descriptor approach which introduce the faults in the system having the property of auxiliary state. An observer based control strategy is developed based on the state estimates to stabilize the resulting closed-loop system using the technique of performance. The robust stability conditions are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The performances of the proposed control approach are demonstrated through numerical example.
