Synergetic control for three-tanks system: A comparison with the sliding mode control

In this paper, we focus on the chattering problem of sliding mode control (SMC). Firstly, the SMC is introduced. The synergetic control is also can be a solution to alleviate chattering problem. The synergetic theory will be presented. The connection between SMC and the proposed control will be developed. Moreover we will apply the two approaches for Multiple-Inputs Multiple-Outputs (MIMO). Common elements and main differences between SMC and synergetic control are proved through a comparative simulation results using the three-tank system.
