Design of multiband antenna with U shaped strip and L shaped strips for WLAN / Bluetooth /WiMAX/HYPERLAN Applications

The wireless communication became very popular in last decade which increase the demand of compact, multiband and low size for wireless portable terminal devices. A novel multiband antenna with inverted U shapedstrip and asymmetrically L shaped strips for WLAN /Bluetooth /WiMAX/HYPERLAN Applications. The proposed antenna is composed of inverted U shapedstrip to resonates 5.5GHz and asymmetrically L shape strips resonates 2.4GHz, 3.5GHz and 5.5GHz covering WLAN, Bluetooth, WiMAX and HYPERLAN. The antenna occupies an overall dimension of 39.5×13mm

. The simulations results show good antenna performance in all frequency bands such as reasonable gain and omnidirectional radiation pattern.
