Experimental comparison of 4 OFDM channel estimation methods for V2V communications

Channel Estimation (CE) is one of the major concerns in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) applications because of its significant impact on the link performance. Several techniques are proposed in the literature in order to achieve reliable CE for the current IEEE 802.11p standard. However, the performance of these algorithms is obtained by means of simulations in most of the cases. In this paper, we carried out series of measurement campaigns with the objective of evaluating in real conditions 4 proposed CE techniques.
