Development of millimeter-wave space TWTs in BVERI

This paper describes the design, performance test, qualification test, lifetime experiment of millimeter wave space traveling wave tubes in Beijing Vacuum Electronics Research Institute (BVERI). There has been series products of 20W, 30W, 55W and 100W with 55-60% overall efficiency and good linearity at Ka-band, and 45/60W power at Q-band and 30W power at V bands with 35-45% efficiency. Now there are 14 tubes in-orbit with stable operation and a single longest time of 12,000Hrs.
