Virtual cathode oscillator with elliptical resonator

We have proposed the new scheme of relativistic vircator system for generation of high-power microwave radiation with elliptical resonator as the interaction space and have carried out its numerical study. The effect of the resonator parameters on the interaction of electron beam with the electrodynamic structure has been discovered. We have conducted optimization of the power output of the system. We the possibility to achieve efficiency up to 5% in such virtual cathode generator that is essential for vircators.
