Green kamal project: Empowering the least developed part of a metropolitan city through PV power generators installation

Kamal village in West Jakarta is a lagging and slum area with the majority of its citizens less economically viable. We try to provide an alternative to the community especially for home and environmental lighting sources by introducing electric energy using sunlight. The use of solar electricity is expected by local residents, this is because people are no longer burdened by electricity bills every month. Currently there are still some houses in Kampung Kamal that have not been powered by electricity, especially in the homes of citizens who are very poor, they connect electricity illegally from neighboring houses or directly from electricity poles for lighting at night. Our project installs two Solar Power Generators for two poorest houses and one for street lighting for the community, aside from constructing communal sanitary facilities.
