Enhanced distributed MPC design for efficiency utility of autonomous multi-microgrids

In this paper, a load management is presented for autonomous multi-microgrids, who consist of multiple Renewable Energy Sources (RESs), energy storages and smart loads. In particular, a new energy mismatch balance and optimal distributed scheduling problem are formulated to achieve the supply-demand match in system-level. By coordinating with each other, the surplus renewable energy among multi-microgrids can be distributed to the corresponding microgrid who requests for extra supply for the loads. Moreover, the enhanced Distributed Model Predictive Control (DMPC) strategy is designed to guarantee the RESs efficiency and necessary demand response. Our simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method.
