Development of simulator for intrusion detection system to detect and alarm the DDoS attacks

DDoS attacks are the major concern in the current digital world. Reducing the DDoS attacks is very hard especially when it comes to highly distributed Botnet-based attacks. It is necessary to detect these attacks early to protect end-users as well as the network infrastructure resources. The core of this work is to implement the Intrusion detection system (IDS) which is located at the Internet service providers (ISP) level. Using our self-developed simulation software, it will be shown that how ISPs form the protection rings around the host to collaborate and defend the traffic information.
