The design and modeling of wideband calculable standard rod-dipole reference antenna for broad bandwidth applications

Wideband calculable standard Rod-Type reference dipole antenna for broadband wireless applications was proposed with simple antenna geometry. Single dipole with length resonant at 1.3 GHz was used to cover the 700MHz to 3.5GHz frequency range because of its suitable broadband characteristics. The antenna is feed with two coaxial at centre of half wavelength dipole through the hybrid balun. The bandwidth and frequency band of this calculable dipole can be controlled by changing the antenna dimensions. The antenna design and implementation procedure are explained, design results are discussed that single half-wavelength dipole with balun cab be cover wide bandwidth. Antenna module was simulated on Ansys HFSS and validity of this design is confirmed by comparing measured and simulated results. This antenna is more applicable for the EMI/EMC applications.
