Performance of best relay selection in single relay selection scheme with network coding

In this paper, we propose the best relay selection in single relay selection scheme with network coding. A single relay selection scheme is used to select one of the best relays from several relays. The method used in determining the best relay is choosing the largest SNR on the relay. The concept of network coding is used for bandwidth efficiency and increased throughput. In this research, we used the simulation method to generate system performance. The utilization of network coding and the selection of the best relay on a single relay selection scheme has been able to increase throughput by 34% compared to no network coding.
