Optimal sizing of renewable energy system for a university in Australia

Energy, environment and economy have been the three-major focuses globally in the last decade. With the ongoing population explosion and energy consumption, there has been a dearth of efficient and environmentally friendly energy adaption. In recent times, many studies have been conducted to adapt renewable energy to improve energy efficiency and the environment. Renewable energy systems (RES) have been explored, either grid supported or as stand-alone systems. However, their economic viability has consistently been a matter of discussion. In this paper, the adaptability and economic & environmental viability of RES for a university building at Warrnambool, Australia, has been focused on using HOMER software.
