PSO based weight selection & static H∞ loop shaping controller design for robust power system stabilizer in four-block framework using LMI approach

This paper propose a PSO based weight selection and a static H_∞ loop shaping controller design for robust power system stabilizer in four block H framework using LMI approach. Sufficient conditions are established by S. Patra, S. Sen and G. Ray in 2008 for the existence of a static H_∞ loop shaping controller. In this paper, H_∞ synthesis in four block framework is compared with normalized left co-prime factorization in robust stability problem using PSO based weighting function parameter selection and robustness. A single machine infinite bus system are considered to illustrate the result at different loading condition by designing a static H_∞ loop shaping controller using MATLAB.
