TrustRBAC: Trust role based access control model in multi-domain cloud environments

Cloud computing is one of the most leading paradigms in information technology. It offers various cost-effective information technology services over the internet. To keep each entity secure and privileged, a secure and efficient access control is essential. However, trust and access control are the fundamental security concepts of storing, delivering and protecting cloud computing resources and services. This, the concepts of role-based access control mechanism and trust management are combined with cloud computing environment. In this paper, TrustRBAC a novel role-based access control model based on trust management is proposed for single and multi-domain cloud environment. The model calculates the direct trust and recommendation trust with security policies for both domains. Further, the performance analyses show that the proposed model is suitable for cloud environment which can improve efficiency and reliability of the system.
