Circularly polarized wearable textile antenna with defected ground structure for GPS application

Circularly polarized wearable textile antenna using jeans textile material(substrate) for Global Positioning System (GPS) application is presented in this paper. The described antenna have obtained circular polarization (CP) by truncating two opposite edges of the patch. The study is concentrating on using jeans as substrate and copper as a conductor. The performance testing have been made on the simulation results like bandwidth, reflection coefficient (S11), directivity and axial ratio. Technicalities of antenna design, performance and measured result are discussed.
