Direct torque control of PM BLDC motor using fuzzy controllers

This paper presents direct torque control of Permanent Magnet Brushless DC motor using fuzzy controller in which the magnitude of stator magnetic flux linkage is not controlled in constant torque region. Thus, flux control loop is eliminated and leads to less complexity to implement the scheme. The torque response depends on the speed of the stator flux linkage which is directly controlled by selecting appropriate voltage space vectors from the reduced switching table, as a result the implementation of scheme becomes easier, and the torque response is faster. The concept is verified through simulation results.
