Abstract:
Image Mosaicing is one of the most prevalent techniques which is used in the digital era of image processing. The basic principle of image mosaicing is to combine multiple images in such a manner that they integrate to form a high resolution image. Generally, camera lens captures less field of view. Hence, if we want a larger field of view then we have to go through the strenuous process of taking multiple images of the same scene having some overlapping region and then stitch them into large image. This method of combining multiple images of scene into one single image is called as image mosaicing. In this paper, we will use direct intensity based method for image mosaicing which can be achieved by matching the pixel value of two images having some overlapping region between them. This matching of the pixels will be done using bidirectional algorithm.
