Information technology adoption and competitive advantage of higher education

Information technology (IT) is a tool to improve the education quality. The role of IT in education has become increasingly important in the present and the future. IT can be used to demonstrate learning objectives, improve access to information resources, build capacity and improve the quality of colleges that have competitive advantage. This paper aimed to understand how Adoption of IT has an important role in increasing the competitiveness of private higher education. This paper described the IT Adoption approach using the TOE framework and competitive advantage using the industry structure theory from Porter.
