Inverse scattering methods as a tool for the design of GPCs devices

Inverse scattering methodologies have been widely exploited in literature as a mean for recovery and imaging. In this contribution, a new key to the reading is provided by reformulating the basic equations of an inverse scattering problem as design equations. In particular, new strategies are proposed to effectively synthetize Photonic Crystals (PCs)-based devices.
