Addressing scheme based on three-dimensional space over 6LoWPAN for internet of things

With high developed wireless sensor network and IPv6 technology, 6L0WPAN has become the future development trend of sensor network. In this paper, an Internet of things addressing strategy based on three-dimensional space is designed, in which the IPv6 address auto configuration method and header compression mechanism for 6LoWPAN nodes have been included. Besides, in order to reduce the repetitiveness of IP address, based on the uniqueness of three-dimension space, a new addressing scheme has been put forward. Meanwhile, on the basis of which, an improved 6LoWPAN_IPHC header compression method has been given. The simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme can reduce the overhead and delay of network effectively, and it is of certain reference value.
