Applying of MPPT algorithm in Z source inverter for PV solar generation

In this project, the development of MPPT based on Z-Source single phase inverter using a Raspberry Pi with voltage control is proposed in order to increase and boost the inverter output to be greater than the input solar power. The main features of this system is the ability to control the Raspberry Pi gate signal switching inverter while controlling the duty cycle of the pulse width modulation based on MPPT algorithm. In order to ensure the output voltage can be as maintain as desired, MPPT algorithm will make changes to the duty cycle by tracking to maximum power point (MPPT) of the PV cell, while Proportional (P) controller is used in this system as a controller which functions to make sure the inverter output is equal to the target reference value. The effectiveness of this control strategy is implemented in MATLAB Simulink and verified by experimental results using PI reference 5Vpk, 10Vpk and 15Vpk. It is proved that, the voltage can be corrected and stabilized using these control methods.
