Flux controlled BLDC motor for automated glass cleaning robot

With growth of modern day infrastructure, now a days we find the peak of buildings vanishing somewhere in the clouds. All around us, there stand tall buildings having Glass as their building blocks. It also adds up to the enigma of their look. These building are mostly IT towers and Corporate Offices which need great maintenance. The cleaning of such towers is done using human resources and comprises great risk of human life, time consumption, energy consumption and is also too expensive. Moreover, cleaning is the most common work being performed in everyone's life every day. In this paper a detailed survey on various automated robots used for cleaning purpose and the principles behind the operation is done. After, surveying several advancements made in this field in the recent years we have also proposed a prototype design of an autonomous robot for glass cleaning application. The proposed model can minimize human effort and risk, energy consumption, capital and can also be efficient enough to perform. The idea is to use the principle of negative thrust-pressure to create vacuum under the robot using air blowers. The developed model promise less weight compared to the other models present in the literature.
