The influence of sensors structure on measurement accuracy of pulse electric fields

The accurate measurement of fields is the basis of Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) protection. The influence of sensors structure on measurement accuracy of electric fields is investigated with finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The results show that sensors based on dipole antennas are more accurate than those based on monopole antennas, which is because dipole antennas take differential input signals and compensation effect improve the accuracy.
