Suggestion and evaluation a method to calculate the efficient defensive formation using probability ellipse and convex hull

In this paper, we propose how to calculate the efficient defense formation for baseball using the estimated value based on data derived from the Nippon Professional Baseball League. Initially, we introduce an entire set of possible data and visualize the ability of the players using probability ellipse and convex hull. Subsequently, we estimate the data that is required for further analysis from this dataset. Finally, we use this estimated value to calculate effective defense formations and evaluate them.
