Analysis of an adaptive voltage control of DC microgrids using CHIL real time simulation

The objective of this work is to present results related to the simulation of an adaptive nonlinear voltage control applied to control the mais bus of a DC microgrid. The one is modeled and simulated on a Real Time Digital System using Control-Hardware-In-Loop (CHIL) simulation approaching. A grid-connected 10 kW DC microgrid containing photovoltaic arrays and a battery bank, sized to meet a portion of electronic and lighting loads of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Southeast of Minas Gerais - Juiz de Fora Campus, is used as a testing workbench for the proposed control methodology. Experimental results comparing RSCAD internal controllers and external controllers as hardware under test are used to analyze system behavior under different conditions and to validate the proposed methodology.
