Solar power forecasting analysis of trends in modeling techniques and error minimization mechanism

The plant utilization factor of solar photovoltaic power in present context is poor. Unavailability of proper solar power forecasting being one of the reasons behind low plant utilization factor. Data survey has suggested that annual plant load factor in India has not breached 25 % mark. This paper is intended to compile and correlate the work done by more than 300 researchers in 100 published research paper for in the field of solar power forecasting and to highlight the best tools and techniques available to improve plant load factor.
