Nature inspired dual band sneezewort plant growth pattern shaped antenna

The reported paper presents nature inspired triple band compact planar antenna of 44×17×1.6 mm

size, designed on FR-4 substrate. The antenna is designed based on nature inspired concept of sneezewort plant growth pattern with additional concept of golden mean in branch division and branch width. The number of branches in each stage follows the Fibonacci pattern and width of the branch is decided based on Golden ratio. Staring from one, the maximum numbers of branches considered are thirteen to maintain the simplicity of design and to avoid the complexity in antenna structure. The antenna achieves dual band return loss characteristics in UWB (6.6-7.4 GHz), X band (9.5-12.0GHz) and Ku band (12.0-14.8 GHz) with VSWR <;2 dB and positive gain in the respective three pass bands with maximum gain of 2.28dBi at 11.6GHz.
