A thin AMC-combined loop antenna applicable to wearable devices

This paper suggests a printed loop antenna having robust impedance matching and electromagnetic radiation, and low EM effect on the human body. This is achieved by developing a thin and small-area artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) supporting the loop radiator. This outperforms the conventional AMC antennas in terms of thickness and radiation. Besides, this has a low SAR below 1 W/kg.
