Investigation of the direct torque control system of an electromechanical system with a matrix converter

The direct torque control system allows to obtain high values of control quality indexes of the induction motor without using coordinate transformations, compensation of crosslinks, determining the parameters of regulators and their adaptation in the conditions of changing the parameters of the equivalent scheme. The matrix converter is attractive for using in a wide range of electromechanical systems, since it does not contain bulky energy storage devices. The paper presents the development of a system for direct torque control of an induction motor powered by a matrix converter. An analysis of the system with a multi-level relay torque controller of induction motor has been carried out.
