Development of a motor test bench to measure electrical/mechanical parameters

Electrical and mechanical parameters of AC motors are quite significant to be calculated/measured as they share huge portion of industrial load. These parameters may deviate from their manufactured value(name plate parameters) with the passage of time. Therefore the need is to measure these parameters periodically and modify the system accordingly. In this research a novel and eco-nomical motor test bench has been developed to measure performance parameters of (single phase and three phase) new as well as used AC motors more conveniently. Test parameters are displayed on user friendly Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen. Tests are performed according to IEC 60034-2-1.
