A computational approach for modeling, evaluating and optimizing the reliability of integrated community energy systems

With the increasing development of the integrated community energy systems (ICES), the interconnection among electricity, natural gas, cooling, heat and fuels systems is extremely highlighted. Based on energy hub model and Monte Carlo method, this paper proposed an optimal approach to evaluate the reliability of the ICES. By implementing the interior point method and the genetic algorithm, the proposed approach can calculate reliability index more effective in terms of calculation time and accuracy. Besides, this paper analyzes the impact of the penetration of renewable energy on the reliability of ICES.
