Simulation studies of DC-connected photovoltaic power system

This paper proposes a DC-connected photovoltaic (PV) power system. The system topology and working principle of each component are illustrated. The control scheme of the system including the steady-state strategy and soft start/stop strategies is proposed. A simulation model of the system is established in Matlab/Simulink software environment according to its topology and control scheme. In addition, the steady-state and dynamic characteristics of the system are studied through time-domain simulations under several test cases.
