Energy and ancillary service joint dispatch of power system integrated with dynamic heating system

Integrated dispatch of electric power system and central heating system will bring significant economic benefit in reducing operation cost and enhancing wind power utilization. This paper investigates the energy and ancillary service joint dispatch of integrated electric power system and central heating system. A system identification model describing the heat storage property of central heating systems is built. The heating supply is qualified through the supply water temperatures at heat exchange stations. An alternate decentralized solution is proposed so that the electric power system and the central heating system can be independently dispatched. Case studies on a test system proves the feasibility of the proposed method.
