Energy consumption evaluation model of cogeneration units based on the reduced exergy and its application

A calculation model based on reduced exergy is established in this work to evaluate the energy consumption of the cogeneration unit, on this basis a 600MW cogeneration unit is taken as an example to make calculation and analysis. According to the calculation results, the reduced exergy efficiency of the cogeneration unit is found to be about 55%, which is more reasonable than the thermal efficiency and exergy efficiency. Whilst the reduced exergy efficiency can reflect the impact of the heating steam flow rate, the flow efficiency of the turbine and the heating parameter correctly.
