Performance analysis of different types of PV testing using MATLAB

This study focused on the performance comparison of different photovoltaic technologies, characterized in different range of environmental conditions using MATLAB. The indoor performance analysis of five different module technologies (Mono Crystalline, Multi Crystalline, CdTe, CIGS and a-Si) are carried out based on IEC 61215 & IEC 61646 standards in composite climate zone of India. Here also the comparison of different material's proportions of temperature, irradiance and humidity in a controlled environment under biasing conditions are performed. Based on the electrical parameters study five different PV technologies (Mono, Multi, a-Si, CdTe, CIGS) are considered. It is observed that CIGS performs with best efficiency at 60°C, 60% RH while CdTe performs with best efficiency at 85°C, 85% RH.
