A review of multi-switch BLDC motor drive

Permanent magnet BLDC motors are getting attention from research as well as the industry because of its excellent features like compact size, silent operation, high reliability and less maintenance requirements. Nowadays, PMBLDC motors are widely used in various applications instead of induction motor such as household, commercial and also in industrial area, also they can accepted for position control and medium sized industrial drives for different applications. Drive components are important for low cost and efficient system for industrial application of permanent magnet BLDC motors. It also includes cost effectiveness and efficiencies of these topologies. Comparative study of these different converter topologies of permanent magnet BLDC motor drive systems for industrial applications is described.
