Design of double redundancy switched reluctance motor

In order to improve the fault tolerance performance of switched reluctance motor (SRM), this paper designs a double redundancy switched reluctance motor, each phase of the motor is consisted of two winding and each winding can be controlled separately. Through different winding connection mode, other winding could still work when part winding break down, thus effectively improving the motor's fault tolerant performance. Moreover, a testing platform of double redundancy switched reluctance motor has been established for experimental research. The experimental data corresponds to the theoretical analysis and simulation results, thus verifying the correctness and rationality of the design theory of double redundancy switched reluctance motor.
