Power grid self-organized criticality simulation model based on multi-sandpile

With the cross regional interconnection of the power grid, it is more and more inconsistent with the actual development of the power grid to use a single sandpile to simulate the power grid. The multi-sandpile model is developed to simulate the evolution process of the whole power grid failure in the form of all the single sandpiles evolving synchronously. First of all, the modeling method of multi-sandpile model is obtained through the comparison between power grid and multi-sandpile model, and the multi-sandpile model is established; Secondly, the IEEE118 node power grid is partitioned, and the simulation procedure is designed; Thirdly, the evolution process of each regional power grid and IEEE118 node power grid failure are simulated based on multi-sandpile model, and in order to be more intuitive, the load rate of each component is plotted in the three dimensional coordinate figure respectively in simulation process. Finally, the simulation results further verify the self-organized criticality (SOC) of power grid failure, and confirm the feasibility of the model.
