The structure tuning of plugs-shaped monopole antenna for wireless communication applications

This paper purposed the plugs-shaped monopole antenna by adding stub and slot etching tuning technique on patch for the impedance bandwidth enchantment and the capability to support the applications in DCS, PCS, WCDMA/UMTS, WLAN IEEE 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth system. The prototyped antenna structure has been fabricated on FR4 printed circuit board (FR4) with dimensions of 36×40 mm

. The measured result has been found that the impedance bandwidth of 70.16% (1.24-2.58 GHz) The radiation pattern is omnidirectional and average again of 3.14 dBi.
