Comparison of three compact-SAR mode through rice phenology monitoring

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is known to all weather usable radar system. It can divide linear polarimetric SAR (LP-SAR) and circular polarimetric SAR (CP-SAR). However, CP-SAR has been proven to less effect of the Faraday rotation in the ionosphere. On the other hand, in spite of polarization, full polarimetric SAR (FP-SAR) has some drawbacks of limited swash width, an increase of system complexity, data rate and power consumption. Hence, dual polarimetric SAR (DP-SAR) becomes attractive configuration, and thus some researchers employ DP-SAR for their research. Accordingly, we need to know the feature of each DP-SAR. We investigate to confirm the difference of each DP-SAR adopting same H/α decomposition for rice phenology monitoring.
