A decoupling method for closely MIMO antennas by using a short stub

In recent years, the MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology, using multiple antennas, has been introduced in wireless terminals. If terminals are miniaturization, a strong mutual coupling caused by installing plural MIMO antenna closely is occurred. The coupling decreases radiation efficiency and channel capacity. Hence, the mutual coupling must be reduced. In previous studies, a decoupling method of inserting the inductor L or the capacitor C between antennas and using branch elements instead of L or C is confirmed. This paper proposes a decoupling technique by using a short stub.
