The new accreditation process in engineering education: learning from experiences elsewhere

During the past ten years, there has been a major shift globally in the approach to the accreditation of engineering degrees. The context and experience of these changes in the USA, SA and Australia are compared and tensions between the administrative and educational foci of the accreditation process are discussed.
