Development of the wearable walking robot for spinal cord injury, RoboWear10 the 2017 17th international conference on control, automation and systems (ICCAS 2017)

In this paper, we present design and control of the wearable robot which enables the patient to stand and walk who suffers from spinal cord injury, and the wrist-worn wearable device which controls standing, walking, stopping, sitting motions of the patient. The device is adjustable to patient's body shape and generates gait trajectory to enable stable walking while holding crutches. We have verified the gait assistant performance by using the developed wearable walking robot for the patients with complete spinal cord injury.
