Intelli-DRM: An intelligent computational model for forecasting severity of diabetes mellitus

Diabetes mellitus is a very vulnerable disease and any delay in forecasting severity of Diabetes mellitus will potentially affect the patient organs. Failure to detect it may have a dreadful effect on patient's health and a negative impact on other organs of the body. These problems are important in patient perspective since the forecasting of the severity of Diabetes mellitus is a quality attribute related to the patient health and organs as well. In this context, we will design and develop an intelligent model for predicting the condition of the patient. Initially, intelligent data processing technique is applied to correlate risk factors and their impact on predicting the state of the patient. Then weights are assigned to risk factors to provide the best outputs from the system. The risk score system outputs, this is the current status of the patient, based on the input pattern. The proposed Intelli-DRM validated on Pima Indians Diabetes dataset. The results proved that the proposed Intelli-DRM achieved best accuracy and specificity as compared to other state-of-the-art risk score models.
