Electric field control of backward spin waves in thin ferromagnetic film

We investigate a possibility of an electric field control of spin waves in ultrathin magnetic film. The effects under consideration are due to the influence of a constant external electric field on the spin orbital interaction between spins of magnetic ions. It is shown the possibility of controlling by constant electric field both the nonreciprocity in the propagation of a spin wave along a thin ferromagnet film and the possibility of switching between forward and backward types of wave.
