A multi-level ARCP voltage source converter topology

A novel ARCP three-level topology is being presented. Active neutral point clamp switches with an inverse diode are used to control the charge distribution of the snubber capacitors across the main switches. General design rules are given and verified by simulation. The concept is generalized for multi-level topologies.
