Sobolev norms of automorphic functionals

We prove a quantitative version of Frobenius reciprocity in the theory of automorphic functions. Namely, given an automorphic representation we show how to estimate the norm of the corresponding Γ-invariant functional with respect to some norms on the representation space. The answer is given by relative traces.
