Model of amplified spontaneous emission in an image mode, laser projection system: theory and experiment

An image mode laser projection system has been fabricated that implements a conventional twisted nematic projection display inside an optically pumped high-gain laser cavity. It is found to have high output contrast and narrow spectral line width which makes it a potential candidate for a non-scanned laser projection systems.
